Brookings County Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program

The Brookings County Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) held its annual Brookings County POD Exercise on the United Living Community campus on January 25, 2013.  The purpose of this training is to review the job description and duties of the participants. In the review process was to discuss and plan a full-scale exercise for early October of 2013.  The full scale exercise will involve providing flu vaccinations to 120 elderly clients, 120 children in the daycare, 89 sets of parents of the daycare children and approximately 177 staff member of the United Living Community and 50 to 60 POD participants.    The six hour planning meeting involved approximately forty people from the community.  The planning meeting was a full scale exercise for a exercise in early October of 2013 on the United Living Community campus. Mr. Robert McGrath, Ms. Louise Coull and Gordon Dekkenga with the assistance of JoAnn Paulson of the SDDOH Public Health Regional Manger led the Tabletop Exercise.
