Greetings! I am happy to share a little about myself. I was born in Minnesota and raised in the Midwest, but moved around a great deal because my father was a Baptist preacher. I am the oldest of five daughters and my family lives in Sioux Falls. I am a military Veteran who served our great country in the Air Force after high school and during Operation Desert Storm. I was stationed in the United States as well as the county of Panama and Germany. After my time in the military, I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, with a degree in Nursing and Psychology, and have continued my Master's Degree in Nurse Education.
Travel is my favorite pastime, and I have been all around the world. My favorite places include Paris, Hawaii, Australia, and Barbados. I have five daughters, ages 25, 21, 17, 11, and 9 plus a standard poodle "Paris", who all keep me busy outside of work. I am honored to be your Director of Nursing and I pray that my experience and leadership skills will effectively serve the United Living Community and Brookings families for years to come.
