Assisted Living Resident Care Staff

Full Time Days 

7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Assist the residents of Park Place Assisted Living with all aspects of daily living.  These aspects include assistance with medication supervision, activities of daily living (ADL), housekeeping and laundry functions and coordinating other activities.  Plan and coordinate resident care creating a home and strengthening community.  All care shall be done in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards as well as guidelines provided by our established policies and procedures to ensure the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of the residents are met. Must be willing to get their UMA license within 4 months of hire and CPR Certification within 4 months of hire

 

 

Maintenance Technician

Full Time On Call Weekend Rotation

Hours: 7am – 3:30pm

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of skilled and general maintenance duties, which may include upkeep of building components, preventative maintenance assignments, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and electronic installations and repairs, boiler and HVAC maintenance, security assignments, grounds work, and snow removal.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years maintenance trades or technical experience required. Basic computer skills required. Valid South Dakota driver’s license required.

 

Registered Nurse

Full Time Days and Full Time Nights - HIRING BONUS OF $5000.00

6am-630pm/6p-630am

Every other weekend and rotating holidays

 

This Nurse position is responsible for caring out the needs of the resident according to the comprehensive assessmenr and analysis of the care plan. The Nurse, while working with the Certified Nursing Assistants, will assure the resident cares are being met along with the other daily needs such as activities, therapies, cleanliness of the resident and their room. The nurse in, collaboration with all facility team members, will assure the families, resident and other team members are educated with the resident’s needs.  The nurse initiates, gives, and assists with delegating care to licensed and unlicensed members of the healthcare team, based on their scope of practice and care needs of residents and families.  The nurse is accountable for on-going evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to residents.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS: 

Licensed as a nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.

Candidate must be CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified

 

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

PRN as needed hours

Responsible in the daily coordination and delivery of occupational therapy services implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principle and practices of occupational therapy and established objectives fo the deparment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited program conferring the title of Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices.

  • Long Term Care experience preferred.

  • Meets current licensure in practicing state

  • Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's family members, and facility staff.

  • Candidate must be CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified.

     DUTIES:

  • Assists the Occupational Therapist in planning, development, organization, and directing of occupational therapy activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.

  • carry out the plan of care and recommendations set forth by the occupational therapist

  • Assist in developing and maintaining occupational therapy standards.

  • Will assist with all needs in the therapy department.

 

 

Certified Nursing Assistant

Full and Part Time Evenings 2:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Full Time Overnights 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. - $3/hr incentive for overnights, plus $1/hr shift differential

Weekends/Holidays: Every other

16 years of age or older

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care for the resident and is responsible for carrying out the needs of the resident according to the comprehensive assessment, analysis of the care plan. The Neighborhood Specialist in collaboration with the Charge Nurse and other team members will assure the resident cares are being met along with the other daily needs such as activities, therapies, cleanliness of the resident and their room.

The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with nursing care as directed by the nurse and resident care plan. The Certified Nursing Assistant in collaboration with all facility team members will assure the families, resident and other team members are educated with the resident’s needs. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition Certified Nursing Assistant functions include: personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort and safety measures, assisting with activities, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communications skills are necessary. 

Must be willing to get CPR Certification within 4 months of hire.


 

Dietary Aide

Full Time Days - 6-230pm

Part Time Evenings - 330-8pm

Part Time Weekends - 6-230pm or 630-3pm

Every other weekend/holiday

16 years of age or older

The Dietary Aide position includes; Baking, assisting cooks as necessary. It also includes serving drinks and meals and dishwashing. The Dietary Aide position, in collaboration with the Charge Nurse and other team members to assure the resident is being served according to their plan of care.

The Dietary Aide assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition. The Dietary Aide must have the ability to work independently and be flexible in completing various duties as assigned. Cooking experience preferred or willing to learn. Must be dependable, trustworthy and must have a positive attitude.

Must be willing to get CPR Certification within 4 months of hire.
