ULC's Respite Care is intended to provide relief to caregivers and quality substitute care for seniors. Our Respite Care provides temporary residential and nursing care to seniors for as long as thirty days.
For many, caring for an elderly, chronically ill or disabled family member is part of daily life. Respite Care gives caregivers a break to relieve stress, restore energy and promote balance in his or her life. Seeking support and maintaining your own health are important in managing your role as a caregiver. Respite Care shares the responsibility of care giving, and you can rest assured knowing that your loved one is receiving all of the health, social and support services he or she needs. All of the services available in our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitative Therapy programs are available for Respite Care residents. The individual must be admitted on a physician's order and may not exceed the level of care ULC is licensed to provide.
